<note>Spiny Lobster (Panulirus homarus L.) is one of the commodity that very potential to be developed in Lombok Island. The aquaculture of lobster was still limited due to the lack of the feed quality decreasing the growth, molting percentage and ecdyson titre of the lobster. The addition of artemia silage in gel pellets may improve the growth rate, molting percentage and ecdyson titre. The aims of this study were to determine the effect of artemia silage on the growth rate, molting percentage and ecdyson titre Panulirus homarus L. in juvenile phase. The experiment design used a completely randomized design with four treatments and four replications. Gel pellets without artemia silage was used for treatment 1, whereas treatment 2, 3 and 4 were added by artemia silage 3%, 5% and 7% (v/w) respectively. Eighty lobsters (5,10 ± 0,27 g) were treated for 42 days at four tanks (1500 L) in 16 baskets (5 seeds/basket). Gel pellets were made by adding the agar liquid, whereas artemia silage was made by adding the formic acid and propionic acid. The lobsters were fed three times/day. The parameters observed on this research were weight gain, daily growth coefficients (DGC), feed conversion ratio (FCR), percentage of molting, and titre of ecdyson. The result showed the average of weight gain ranged between 0,39-0,86 g, DGC 0,14-0,31%/day, FCR 9,45-17,26, molting percentage 8,03-12,50%, and ecdyson titre 2,09-3,92 µg/ml hemolimph. Analysis of variants indicated that weight gain, DGC, FCR and molting percentage were not significantly different (P>0,05) among all of the treatments. Artemia silage has not been able to increase optimally the growth rate, the percentage of molting and the ecdyson titre. So that the relationship between growth rate, molting percentage and ecdyson titre were not linear.</note>
